Where does the time go...

When did my little boy get so big? We got to take advantage of a really nice day and went to the park with daddy. (I'm so glad that he gets to do things with us on his day off) Our little Bug ran around to all the things in the park and wanted to pretty much do everything by himself.

Here is is going down the slide all by himself. He did try to climb up it backwards but since his momma had a really bad experience with doing the same we decided to stop that activity right away. :)
We did have a cute picture of daddy on one of the rocking animals but after an "accidental" post to facebook I had to promise I wouldn't post it anymore. (I think it may still be on facebook though.. hehe)

Feeding the Ducks

Just had to take a moment to drop these in from our weekend of feeding the ducks. At first Bug didn't grasp the concept of giving the ducks his bread but then he got into the spirit of feeding his new feathery friends.

Ok so I am not the best poet but I thought it was cute. Little man has been crazy playing with all the balls. He likes to throw them, roll them, hide them, whatever works to make him happy. The only thing he doesn't quite get is that even though he has round blocks, they don't go in the giraffee's mouth. Those are only for actually balls... and only the right size. It does make for interesting operation skills for mommy to practice.

He had a real life lesson in sharing this weekend when we went to the mall. There was a little girl riding in the duck but since her mommy paid for Bug to share the ride he had to settle for the car. Either way he's just so stinking cute!

He also learned how to play his guitar this last week. He even knows how to hold it correctly, with a little prodding. This certainly falls into the cuteness factor as well.

Exciting things to come...

Our little man is running around like crazy and getting into everything... but I wouldn't trade it for the world. He climbs on things and jumps off just to see how I will respond. He hasn't met a stranger yet and everything is so new and fresh to him.

His new books are the Sneak and Peek series which tells the story of trying to find things but each page has a little hole cut into it so that he can see part of the image on the next page. He LOVES them and wants us to read them all the time.
And yes, that is a butterfly in the corner. We didn't even realize it until we got the book home and started reading it. I'm telling you his brothers are everywhere.

His daddy has a video that we are going to try to upload because it is a must see. Our little Bug is having a jam session and it is sooooo cute.

Our Bug is 1

Yes I know it's been awhile and I have so much to update but little man has been keeping me so busy! He pretty much skipped crawling and went straight to walking... I think he crawled a total of 4 days. Now I can't keep up.

He finally said momma... on mothers day! Even now I get chills just thinking about it all.

But the most important milestone has to be his first birthday, which we celebrated this past Saturday.

Well we quickly went from a crawler to a stander and it won't be long before he is cruising the furniture. This past week I went in to the nursery to get him and he was barely peaking over the edge of the crib. Now this...

I can't believe how fast he is growing... now I have to go finish baby proofing the living room!

We have a crawler...

Our baby is finally crawling... now make him stop! LOL He is just like the energizer bunny... he keeps going and going. Here is a small video. It isn't great but gives you an idea of what he looks like!

I can't get over how fast he is growing! Just in time too as his little cousin Daniel came into the world this week... and the amazing thing is they were both the same size and length! Isn't that awesome! Can't wait for them to play together! Until next time.

Sitting up all by himself

Well Bug has been mobile for several weeks now... not crawling yet but rolling all around and more recently doing the army crawl. But this last week he actually has begun to sit up on his own. And of course if you are sitting up and daddy is home you have to play ball. Now if only we can concince Pepper that Bug isn't ready to play ball with her.

My Little Vampire

I always knew that my child would be unique but he took it to the max when he decided that he would let him "vampire" teeth come in before his two front teeth. What is so funny to us is that his daddy's look just like vampire teeth as well.

Christmas Time

What a year full of blessings it has been for our family. Bug enjoyed his Christmas and plays with his new toys all the time. His favorite are the ones that make noise but he also loves to put his building blocks on the giraffee that is just for balls. He'll figure out that it's just for the balls... one day. Here are a few pics from his first Christmas.
