We've been busy...

November has been a crazy month! We started out with a trip to the Greater Jacksonville Fair which has been a tradition of ours since we started dated. The lights amazed him but e was more infatuated with the animals... that's my boy!

Look mom... lamby has a big cousin!

Dad are you gonna cook that?

After the fair came and went... Bug got his first experiences with babysitters. He did great but mommy not so much! Aunt Crystel and Ms. Shannon did a wonderful job and he loves them both so much.

Speaking of Aunt Crystel... she took us on a photoshoot! I must say that I have one good looking kid. LOL

Daddy's birthday was fun and Thanksgiving was great! We had a little turkey and rice dinner (baby mush) and some real mashed potatoes at both grandparents house! We didn't do so great remembering to take pictures though... oops! Daddy also surprised mommy with a fancy dinner for their anniversary. Hope you all had a great November.

Love and hugs!

Milestones left and right!

What a roller coaster few weeks this has been! Bug started rolling over regularly and enjoys showing us that he can roll over vs actually sleeping at night.

His first tooth has broken through and although I am very happy he no longer has that pain, he has passed the pain to me with a few biting incidents. He's growing fast so I have to cherish every one of these precious moments.

Let the little children come to me... (Mark 10:14)

As a witness to prevenient grace, we had Bug baptised on October 10, 2010. He wore a baptism gown that I made specifically for the event and pray that he is the first of many children to wear this gown as future generations commit to raising their children in a Christian home.

Bug's Godparents

Surrounded by friends and family we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. With the exception of mommy chocking up when the pastor asked what name we gave our child... it was a bittersweet moment.

My baby's growing up...

Our four month check up was yesterday and here are Bug's Stats:
  • 15.15 pounds
  • 26.5 inches long
  • 16.75 inch head
My baby is in the 90th percentile which in doctor's terms means he is big for his age. Well Duh! I pick him up every day and could have told them that without all their fancy charts. He received two shots which did not impress him one bit but he got to cuddle with mommy most of the day. That made him very happy! :)

To add to an already exciting day, he slept in his crib last night for the first time. He was there all night and only woke a few times to nurse. I didn't get much sleep trying to listen for him but I am sure that will get better with time.

I can't believe how fast our baby is growing. We are so thankful for each and every day and all the blessings that come with having a child.

Love and Hugs!

Four Months Already...

We can't believe that it has already been four months since God blessed us with our precious Bug. We celebrated by going to the park. Yes, he is still just a tad little for all the fun but we got some adorable pictures and it was just great getting out as a family. To make the day even better we were escorted through the entire park by two very active, beautiful butterflys. Gotta love it!

Long nights = longer days

My poor baby is teething and was up every other hour all night. You would think he would be overly tired today (I know I am) but nope he is wide awake and wants to play. He looks at me with those gorgeous eyes and I melt.

So today we will deal with sore gums and hope that we can both sneak in a nap.

New Week... New Food

Today we added carrots to Bugs menu of healthy eating! They were accepted better than the sweet potato but not quite as well as the bananas. The puree is so easy to make and takes out all the preservatives that are used in commercial baby food. Plus we feel that it gives him more of the actual flavor of the food. He is growing so fast and becoming more adorable every day.

Our Bug

I tried to create a blog from scratch so that I could be in control of how it looked and what it contained... Yes I am a control freak and we all know it so moving on.

This nice site will allow me to post from my phone and is very simple to use. Hopefully that means that I will be able to provide you with better and more frequent updates.

Bug is now 14 weeks old and growing like a weed. He has begun to eat solid food and some cereal. It started with him practically grabbing a banana out if my hand. I took it to mean that he wanted some so we tried it and he loved them.

He's cooing and making all sorts of adorable noises and has the best smile ever. I don't think I am biased when I say that because everyone tells us that and I certainly won't disagree.

Closing for now as I have learned that when he sleeps so should I.

Love and hugs!
